We live in a Christian country. But less than 1 percent of the inhabitants are really Christians. Most people’s belief consists in being member of the catholic or protestant church, far away from a living Christianity and far away from God’s Word.

So is doesn’t wonder that the observant walker along the Fridliweg in southern Glarnerland meets Tibetan prayer flags, Cairn, stone altars, dragons and other strange things. Funny, colourful, harmless, a funny gimmick, as surely some people think. But in reality there are cult objects, which have a meaning and purpose. Man who don’t know JESUS CHRIST give praise to alien deities, and conjure river deities, blessing the country or putting animals as guardians around their houses. These people do not know that they serve evil spirits by occult practices and rituals; they serve the devil, the opponent of God, and his demons. The Bible as the word of God declares us:
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2 Corinthians 11.14-15).

Pagans are seduced by the beautiful appearance of the matters and hope for a good life and a future in the Hereafter.
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:4).

Satan has only evil sense, because he is a liar and human murderer from the beginning. He calls sooner or later its toll: physical and mental diseases and finally the spiritual death of man. Since the Fall Satan tempts people to search their salvation not by God but by itself, by an impersonal power, by angels etc.
But the true almighty God wants us all make happy without exception -- not only here on earth, but for always and forever! That’s the reason why he gave us His Son Jesus Christ in our lost and in all our misery, so that He on the cross burden the debt of all people contributed. Satan's power through the precious blood of Jesus Christ once and for all times is broken.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
All means of salvation outside of Jesus Christ are doomed to failure. All religions are ways which inevitably lead to ruin.
It is God's express desire that everyone will be saved and the realization of truth arrives.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12)

In the authority of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we break the destructive effects of all magic activities and bring the people of the Glarnerland under the protection of His blood. We proclaim the Gospel: Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. Be reconciled to God!

God's Wisdom in His Creation

Psalm 104.24
O LORD, how manifold are thy works!
in wisdom hast thou made them all:
the earth is full of thy riches.

Quito, the capital of Ecuador, is moving with its inhabitants with a speed of 1600 km/h forward, because the Earth in 24 hours revolves once around its axis and Equator is 40,000 km long. The whole world races with 100,000 km/h along its solar orbit around the central star in our solar system. And the Milky Way itself - this majestic billion solar system with a diameter of 100,000 light years - hurries with unimaginable speed through the vastness of the universe.
Whether macrocosm, the harmony between sun and stars, or microcosm, the harmony of cells, molecules and atoms: the whole creation bears the signature of God and his strength and wisdom. God reigns sovereign over this scenario, so that he could promise to Moses: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Ex 8.22)
Each new day, each sunrise testifies the glory of the Lord:
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. (Ps 19.2-6)
Neh 9.6: Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Job 26.7: He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.
Ps 33.6: By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Spr 3.19: The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
Jer 10.12: He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
Heb 11.3: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

The Earth is an exceptional planet of the universe. Life is possible because some parameters are together in harmony:
-- The right distance from the sun
-- The right rotational speed
-- The length of the year
-- The right inclination of the axis of the earth
-- The right mass and size
-- The composition and density of Earth's atmosphere
-- The ozone layer
-- The magnetic field
With a speed of over 1,600 km/h the earth turns around its axis. Would it turn with only 160 km/h, day and night on Earth would be ten times longer. That would mean: The sun glow of a single day would burn the plant world, and in the cold of night life would freeze. The earth axis is at an angle of 23 degrees. This is necessary for our seasons, would it not, ocean mist would form immense continents to the north and south. The Moon is 384'000 km away from the Earth. With a shorter distance from its impact high and low tide would be so strong that all the continents flooded twice a day. After the last species census there are about 3 million species on Earth. With the already extinct animals would increase the amount to about 50 million species.

Psalm 104 does not only speak about the creation and the unique harmony of all elements and creatures, but also about the permanent preservation of all life by God himself. He loves with his everlasting love his creation. God gave his creation to mankind, to manage it by cooperating with God acting in responsibility. Since Adam’s disobedience great evil came in humanity and in the creation. But God in his wisdom and love has a provision for us: He has given his own son JESUS CHRIST by whom we can be restored.

How old is Mankind?

The question of the origin of life, the beginning of human history or the origin of the universe divides the scientific world into two camps -- in evolutionists, who assume that the matter from the Big Bang itself organized, and in creationists who believe that the Creator God made everything. Both camps are struggling for their cause with scientific evidence, arguments, polemics, venom, etc. I am not a natural scientist, (I studied linguistics and history) but after I became a Christian, I was in such discussions and I wanted to inform me. For several years I studied the two basic positions with all sorts of variations. It is a very exciting thing - and you can get lose in this scientific labyrinth. The real battle for the truth, however, exists in the invisible world. The credibility of the Bible is constantly challenged -- that is Satan method since the Fall! "If God said…?" The attack on the book of Genesis makes sense. Doubts about God's word begins here. Who doubts in the creation, doubts in other basic statements of God too, but especially in the sinfulness of man and the need for salvation through Jesus Christ. A good part of the research circles around the question: "How old is mankind?" Skeleton discoveries seem to confirm that man developed from monkeys. But the so-called "missing links" turn out sooner or later as fakes or animal remains. But these "discoveries" are not publicly withdrawn, so that the idea of an incredibly long development of the human race remains. As Christians we take the Bible seriously, we can not speculate on this issue. Allegations as "the world is almost 10,000 years old" in the light of the Word of God is pure speculation. God gives us no annual figures about creation; but he makes detailed information on the family tree of the people. So we can say with some certainty that Abraham lived in the 19th or 20th Century BC. This is also confirmed by extra-biblical information, which deals with the biblical chronology. According to the biblical chronology we confirm that the history of mankind is about 6000 years old.
